I have a springer spaniel who's really hyper and likes to be outside and not inside; he smells like a wet dog, though, even when he's dry. after he takes a bath, he smell like a wet dog, but that's expected. we're trying to make him more of an inside dog, and less crazy, but he still smells bad.

At the pet store, they have little doggie cologne for your pet! You can put a drop on his fur. Also, some of the leave in detanglers for pets, a light mist every few days could help him smell better. Do you have your dog groomed? We get our springer groomed and keep her hair much shorter, she smells better! She only goes a few times per year. They are lively and outside they like to roll in stuff! Eeew! Lastly and this is gross, dogs have anal sacs that can become full and when they are groomed, they can be emptied. This will help with the smell. Good Luck and Love him up!
use perfumes
Have you througly washed out his rear end?
Dogs can't wipe.
I noticed my dog was smelly so I washed it and the smell went away.
use a doggie perfume or either a good smelling body wash
PetSmart has dog spray in several scents. It works really well %26 isn't expensive.
Try washing him with a scented shampoo. It's OK for him to be outside, just don't let him roll around in the grass and mud too much.
try to get him chew toys for inside
What works for me is to brush him/her more often, and pet babypowder into there fur. Baby powder doesn't make them sick. Just don't over do it
you can buy pet fresh for your dog
it should take the smell away
blowdry him and stand clear when he farts. =D
We used to bathe our dog at least 1x a wk due to odor. About 2mos. ago she started eating just meat (stopped eating her dog food when we started giving her table scraps). Hasn't had a bath for 7 wks now. She has NO dog odor, not even dog breath. Her coat used to be dull, dry %26 flaky, is now shiny %26 soft. She's full of energy. If you can afford it try it.
(mostly feed her boiled chicken %26 pork or lightly cooked beef or lamb. Sometimes salmon and tuna. Occasional raw meat, organ meats and bits of cheese. No spices if it can be helped. No cooked bones.)
