Up his diet a bit, and try to buy high calorie food. Just a suggestion, I have no idea if it is health for the puppy to do this.
Buy a food meant to do this. There is an Iams weight gain formula for underweight dogs.
How old is your puppy? They have growth spurts which make them look thin with lonk legs. Is he wormed properly? Are you feeding him appropriate puppy food? Best thing to do would be to check changes in his diet with either a vet or the breeder.
Keep him wormed they can be wormed 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and every two to four weeks after that. Make sure you are feeding good dog food, not cheap stuff with fillers in it. i feed purina pro plan and my dogs look very good. Just dont feed People food.

You should take your dog to the vet to make sure the dog doesn't have intestinal worms. Sometimes this can cause dogs and cats to lose weight. Also, spaying or neutering your dog can help him or her gain weight. There are also special diet foods on the market for thin dogs. I know someone who gave their dog fried chicken and human fatty foods. Please DO NOT try that. It causes worms and other health problems for your dog. But, you can even try boiling chicken liver or cook ground beef with rice to fatten your dog up. You can even mix liver, rice, and beef to your dogs food. Your dog will love it! My dogs were disgusting when I had to do this, they hogged it down! lol! Boiled chicken livers and rice is safe to feed your dog. My vet told me it was actually good for them because I'd feed it to my Jack Russell Terriors when they were pregnant to give extra iron. I hope that fattens your pup!
How old is he? At about 12-16 weeks they begin to lose that puppy fat and look long and lean. They are turning into "kids" and no longer are tiny, chubby babies. This is especially true of larger breeds.
If your pup is eating the recommended amount for his breed then check and see how active he is. If he runs around like a madman you may need to up the amount of food or the quality of food. Recommended feedings are based on averages.

I guess a good question is how old is your puppy? Because he is a puppy and very active so he's going to be a little thin because he's playing and using all those calories. We have a German Sheperd Lab mix. He's about 2 and he's still very thin. He's just tall and long. He's really not filled out at all. But the vet says he's fine, he's just a very active dog. But if you're really worried check for worms and then if that doesn't do it, try feeding him a little bit more every day or change his food to a protein enriched food or they do make food for dogs who are under weight. But I really wouldn't be too worried about it if he doesn't have worms. As long as he has a healthy appetite and he's not sick, he'll be fine. Plus, the weight you put on him now will be harder to get off once he's full grown. But it's a good idea to check with your vet before you do anything. You need to have him tested for worms because if you give him worm medicine and he does have worms, it could kill him. Good luck!

You should try 1egg a week. Raw, it sounds gross but it helps with nutrition. Which in turn helps put some meat on them bones.

try clinivet that is excellent bit expensive but very good i am feeding my pups on that plus their mother as she is nursing still but that is excellent puppy food it is also dryed which is better for them than the moist stuff as it is 80% water
