How to stop a 6 month-old GSD to stop jumping on people?

Hey, How do you train a German Shepherd Dog to stop jumping on people especially when she's 6 months-old already? She really gets annoying when she pins you down when you just want to give her food! Help please!

We're in a puppy training class and our trainer instructed us NOT to knee the dog, but to simply step forward when they jump up. As stated above, this asserts your place at the pack leader.

Also, teaching some basic obedience, such as sit and stay will be of great help. Once your dog has learned this command, instruct her to sit when someone comes over and she'll likely jump. Prepare to praise alot and have a soft dog treat as a reward. Eventually, your dog will get the idea that jumping up equals no reward, but the proper behavior will get her one.

It also takes a lot of time and patience, but Shepards are intelligent and I suspect she'll get it pretty quick. Going to an obedience class would also be a great idea and your instructor can give you lots of tips on handling improper behavior, assuming it's a good class.
When she jumps up bring your knee up, not hard enough to really hurt her and she will get the picture
Two words. Obedience School.
I have a 7 month old Lab who does the same thing. I read the book Marley and Me and this is what he did with his Lab. Everytime someone would come over to his house, his dog Marley would jump all over them, so his vet gave him this advise, have a friend come over and when the dog jumps on them, have them knee the dog in the chest. This will get the point across.
She may be jumping from excitement. When you get home, instead of acting all lovey and excited to see her, ignore her untill she calms down. Say hello on your time.

When she does jump, knee her in the chest, strong enough to get her off, but not hard enough to hurt her. Say, "No" or "Off". don't say down if you plan on teaching her to lay down later. Make sure you step forward a little after doing this becuase you want to assert your dominance. NEVER back away when she jumps on you. This will make her think she is the one in charge.

Good luck!
