I am looking for a mini goldendoodle in SW Michigan?

Does anyone know of a breeder I might find close to the Jackson, or Coldwater area of michigan? I am willing to travel up to 2 hours to get a mini goldendoodle puppy.
Thanks!

Please do not listen to the people that tell you to get a life and what not. Most tend to be jaded either because they are a purebred breeder or feel that the breeding of dogs is wrong.

There are many reasons to consider a Goldendoodle. People can be allergic to Golden Retrievers and with the Goldendoodles, especially the newer generations of pups are hypoallergenic. They want a larger dog, so they go with a Labradoodle or Goldendoodle. There is nothing wrong with this!

To the OP, do a search on the Internet for Goldendoodle breeders in your area, or surrounding states. Good luck and don't listen to people just looking to control others live

Wow, Gitemgang, you sure are a smart one. Resulting to name calling already? Actually, poodles tend to be called hypo-allergenic, not because they don't shed, but rather because they really don't cause allergic reactions. I know it's not because of the hair, it's the dander, but poodle's have different fur, there for different dander. A poodle's fur is more like human hair. Also, I lived with my fiance's poodle for close to 8 years, he never shed once that I can remember, at least no where near as much as our Malamute or Husky. Please stop trying to tell other people how to run their lives, if they want what's considered a designer dog, then it's none of your business, if you can't answer the question, then you shouldn't answer it with drivel!
You are kidding arn't you?? why on earth would someone be a "breeder" of Golden Retriever x Poodle mixed breed puppys?? Someone might have a litter by accident, but come on with the designer dogs OK??!! Go to the shelter and get a mixed breed dog if that is what you want.
This is a made-up 'designer dog' AKA 'mutts for money' bred by unscrupulous people - please do not support them. If you want a Golden Retriever or Poodle mix, find one at your local shelter or go to www.akc.org, click on 'breeds' then 'breed rescue' %26 look for the Golden Retriever %26 Poodle rescue groups closest to you - sometimes they will have mixes that are mostly their breed, too. Also, check out the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever's profile at the AKC website - you may like this smaller retriever. If you like the softer look of the Poodle, consider the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. These are both legitimate breeds with the support of reputable breeders %26 known genetics. Good luck.
ask a local vet they may know someone
dont waste your money. people who intentionally breed mutts (which these dogs are) and charge you too much for them are unethical and producing low quality pups..

IF the parents were top quality they would be breeding purebreds. so why arent they??

answer: because they care more about money than dogs/genetics

you should check your local SPCA or animal shelter as these dogs are often taken there for adoption, which is always cheaper than buying PLUS you are not putting money in the hands of some greedy idiot who is breeding low quality pets for a high price. dont fall for this scam
Goldendoodles aren't a breed but rather a mix. They are very high priced. The breeding of a high shedding breed to a low shedding breed won't necassarily give you a low shedder. You can get a high shedder, low shedder or anything in between. You also can end up with the inherited problems of both breeds.

Peopel aren't jaded because they don't believe in breeding or because they are "breed": biased but rather because the delibrate breeding of mixes is irresponsible. There are thousands of mixes in shelters and who are euthanised daily without producing more.Peopel who breed mixes are simply doing so for $$$ despite claims to the contrary. Claims that the "poo", Doodle mixes are for allergy suffers etc are bogus. There are breeds already well established that are of the size, temperament and haircoat to meet those needs. Claims taht 'all dogs origionally came from mixes" is also a cop out used simply to try to justify breeding mixes. There are over 350 recognized breeds between the AKC %26 UKC in the US alone..this is considering breeds recognized by other legit registries from Canada and other countries. These dogs come in every size, shape, color, temperament, skill, hair type, etc..and then add on top of this all of the mixes already lanquishing in shelters across the country.
They are a mutt. Nothing wrong with having a mutt, but if you pay big money for one from a 'breeder' you are getting scammed. Not only are they not a breed, but they are bred from poor stock as no ethical breeder will sell a dog to someone to make mutts. If you want a mutt, go to a rescue and save yourself the money. Maybe check out the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retrevier if you want a small Golden looking dog.

Nanook -
"People can be allergic to Golden Retrievers and with the Goldendoodles, especially the newer generations of pups are hypoallergenic."

Genetics 101 - any Poodle cross has a 50/50 chance of inheriting the Poodle coat.

It is not any different than it was 10 years ago as they have STILL not moved past an F1 breeding!

The worst shedder I have ever seen in 30 years of showing/teaching was a labradoodle, bought because he wouldn't shed. By a Vet Tech yet! LOL!
