i am a owner of a min pin dog and i was thinking about geting a second dog is that a good idea?

Answers:
It can be. Just make sure that your min pin is ok with it and that the other dog you get does not have a prey drive. Dogs with higher prey drives tend to go 'after' smaller animals. They can seem fine for months, but then for some reason, they go into hunter mode. I've seen it happen and the other dog or cat usually does not survive.

Consider a rescue dog that's a little older; by then the dog will have some sort of an established personality and you'll be able to judge better if they will tolerate each other. : )
Well, If you want. Let`s just hope that the other dog gets along with the new one.
I have two min pins and a bulldog, they romp and stomp and have good time together. After they wear themselves out they lay together and share body heat. One suggestion though, be sure the new dog is a pup and gradually introduce them, allowing them to develop a bond.
Well some Min Pin's are aggressive to most dogs. But some are okay. You can put them through courses with other dogs so they won't hate another dog.
