My neighbors dogs are neglected and the one I loved ran away. Is there any hope of finding him? I really want to get him back. He was in my heart.

Check animal control DAILY and any other area shelters. Put up flyers at local vets and pet stores.
You really need to call animal control on those people if they are neglecting the dogs. Worst case scenario, the dogs are seized, and eventually put down if not adopted out. But, this is far better than living in squalor without adequate food or shelter and being exposed to the elements. Likely, they have parasites - maybe even heart worms. This is a terrible death. Please don't sit by and do nothing for these animals.

How can we tell you if theres any hope of finding him? We have no clue. I mean I would say I hope you guys do find him, But also if his is neclected at his home.then he's probably happier where he ran off to. If your neighbors are REALLY neglecting their dogs and pets you should file a report. You would do the same if someone was neglecting their kids wouldnt you?
Aw that's awful. My doggy passed away a few weeks ago so I feel sad too. Put up Lost Dog signs and if you find him keep him, and report the owners of the other dog to the rspca or ask if you can buy him /her.
leave food out side your door, and call the police about the dog abusers it is a federal offense
If the neighbors are neglecting their dog you should phone animal control. So sorry your dog ran away :*( There is a chance you will find him again though. Is he micro chipped? Or tattooed? Or even have his collar and tags on? If so there you might be able to find him again. Just put up flyer's and check the pounds and that to see if anyone took your dog there.

check with the dog control officer and local shelters. Put up lost posters in stores, go out looking for him. If your neighbor neglects them then maybe the dog will find a better home.
Friendly Hello, If your neighbor is neglecting the dogs you need to file a legal report. Now what I would do is call animal control and the shelters around and give a discription of the missing dog. Then if they find it they will call you first. Adopt him from the shelter, take to vet for proper care, license and mirco chip under your name. Blessings Kelly

As far as the dogs being neglected, maybe the dog has found a home where he no longer being neglected. Why would you want a dog to come back to neglect.
Also why have you not called and reported your neighbors for neglecting the dogs to begin with. You should have done this when you first noticed the neglect.
Can not tell a lie i hope the dog has found a happy home and DOES NOT COME BACK to the neglect.
I am sorry you are heart broken but really if you loved him that much you should have saved him from the neglect.
post sings and look at local humane societys and see if they found your dog and im sorry! and i know how you feel my cat ran away but we found him at a pound already up for adoption but we got him back luckily and good luck!
